About Us

Alana Yarrow is the director and speech language pathologist of Chat Write Speech Pathology.  Having originally studied business, and worked in IT and logistics for a decade, Alana decided to retrain with a Master of Speech Pathology Studies from University of Queensland.  Her interest in the industry was garnered as she watched her daughter receive speech therapy for a severe speech disorder, and cemented when her son started therapy for literacy.   

Alana now works her own magic to help children and adolescents begin and improve their communication, whether it be from a speech disorder, language disorder, or reading and writing difficulties.   

Being a parent to 3 very busy children, and having been the parent of a speech therapy child (twice!), Alana brings an empathetic and understanding view of delivering speech and language therapy.  

This is clearly shown when assigned homework tasks are designed to be completed in the car on the way to various sibling’s sports, or in the bath for the littlies!
